The use of a room thermostat and an outdoor sensor

The Room Thermostat and External Sensor – Smart Control for Efficient Heating

The room thermostat is used to optimize the consumption of electricity and natural gas, while also increasing the overall comfort in your home.

The thermostat should be installed on one of the interior walls of the home. Avoid placing it near heat sources, in direct sunlight, close to hot/cold water pipes, or in areas affected by air drafts. When used together with an outdoor temperature sensor, gas consumption can be reduced by up to 25%.

Installing an outdoor sensor is only effective when a room thermostat is also present. The sensor must be mounted on the exterior of the building. In this case, the temperature of the heating medium is automatically adjusted according to the outdoor climate conditions, providing high comfort and energy savings. For example, when the outdoor temperature rises, the heating medium temperature decreases accordingly, based on a preset compensation curve.
